<p><strong>On June 6th</strong>, the <em><a href="http://www.lyricstime.com/m-i-a-come-around-lyrics.html">super Indian babe</a></em> <strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/mia">M.I.A.</a></strong> will be playing at <a href="http://www.mccarrenpark.com">McCarren Park Pool</a>, accompanied by Toronto electronica band <a href="http://www.myspace.com/holyfuck">Holy Fuck</a>.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m super excited because I&#8217;m a huge M.I.A. fan, but have yet to see her live. If you&#8217;re not familiar with her music, you should check out her (omg) hit single, &#8220;<a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=7sei-eEjy4g">Paper Planes</a>.&#8221; If that floats your boat, then why not give her two albums a listen: &#8220;<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Kala-M-I/dp/B000TJ6CM2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=music&#038;qid=1206579576&#038;sr=1-1">Kala</a>&#8221; (2007) &amp; &#8220;<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Arular-M-I/dp/B0009S2TFC/ref=pd_bxgy_m_img_b">Arular</a>&#8221; (2005). I enjoy both of them.</p>
<p><strong>Tickets cost $37.50</strong>, and go <a href="http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/00004073D478B179?artistid=954049&#038;majorcatid=10001&#038;minorcatid=3">on sale</a> March 29, 2008 at 11am.</p>
<p><strong>edit:</strong> I lied. Go get your <a href="http://mia.tickets.musictoday.com/MIA/calendar.aspx">presales now</a>!</p>
